*Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Treatment*

CLCC is gearing up for the 2012 treatment of Curly Leaf Pondweed and Eurasian Water Milfoil on our lake. Over 130 properties are impacted. Please watch your mail for an important AIS treatment authorization request. In the letter are the details of the 2012 treatment plan and—most important—an authorization form that you must sign and return. If you do not return the form, we cannot treat within 150 of your shore. CLCC 2011 Picnic and Music on the Water—Smashing success
WOW---what a fun time at the CLCC Picnic and Music on the Water. Over 230 attended the picnic lunch at Camp Courage. At one point in the after noon there were almost 60 boats filled with lake people listening to the great music of Preston and Paulzine . It was perfect weather, with wonderful food, plenty of fellowship, and great raffle items. The kids had a blast with the games. At the sand bar we swam, danced, visited, and enjoyed an afternoon of complete relaxation.
Cedar Lake Conservation Club (CLCC) is pleased to announce that it has received a Star Lake Award, which was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2008 to encourage lake associations to actively protect and enhance Minnesota waters.
The Star Lake designation recognizes organizations that have shown exemplary stewardship of their resources through writing & implementing a comprehensive lake management plan.
This award came with a $2,720 grant that will help fund CLCC projects:
- Increase native vegetation
- Control invasive species
- Preserve a healthy & diverse fishery
- Gather & monitor data
- Conduct educational activities
- Control invasive species

Walleye Stocking
Between October 3-5, 2011, the DNR completed their walleye stocking on Cedar Lake. Approximately 315 pounds, 11,210 walleye fingerlings were stocked. The DNR indicated that they may have a surplus of fish and may be back to Cedar Lake this fall with even more walleye fingerlings.
On Saturday October 16, 2010 the Fish and Wildlife Committee completed its first ever stocking of walleye fingerlings in Cedar Lake. After two years of raffles at our Spring Fling and Annual Fall Dinner, and with some generous donations, we were able to generate $2,065!! With these monies we were able to purchase over 1900 fingerlings that were between four and eight inches in length, weighing 125 lbs. A permit was obtained from the DNR and the walleye fingerlings were purchased from West Central Bait and Fisheries in New London MN. Ray Howard was gracious enough to offer his pickup truck for the transportation of the fingerlings to the Lake. We were then greeted at the release site (the public access on R6) by some members of the CLCC Board and friends. Everyone was excited, and so were the fish, that quickly took off, looking for security in native vegetation after their release. You can watch a short clip of the release
CLCC Mission Statement
The club's general purposes shall be to promote fellowship among the residents and parties interested in the development, beautification and conservation of Cedar Lake, Corinna Township, Wright County, Minnesota and the property around it banding them together to accomplish the following specific purposes:
- To propagate, protect and preserve the game and game fishes;
- To guard against pollution of all kinds coming into Cedar Lake;
- To combat unwise drainage or flooding projects.
- To engage in surveys and promote any scientific work and research possible and to disseminate any knowledge thus acquired to educate the interested public.
- To accept, receive and administer any gifts to the organization generally without designation of a purpose or in accordance with any specific designation.
In general, to preserve and protect the beneficial wild life, fish life and natural beauty of Cedar Lake and surrounding community and to restore, replenish and increase the same.
